Marc Jacobs Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter: Review
New from Marc Jacobs and just in time for summer is a brand new gel highlighter infused with five forms of coconut! Aptly named the Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter ($55 CAD) and currently only available in one shade (50 Dew You?), this product can be applied directly to the skin or mixed together with your daily foundation. Packaging:
The Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter comes in a 24ml frosted glass bottle with a plastic white cap. The packaging is equipped with a handy pump dispenser although I find it a bit hard to expense just the right amount of product as one pump yields way too much if you are just using it as a cheek highlight.

Formulation:
Infused with coconut water, coconut milk, coconut polysaccharides, coconut alkanes, and coconut fragrance, the Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter is truly deserving of its name. The product has a creamy gel texture and despite having so much coconut-y ingredints, it only has a faint smell of coconut milk. Packed with ultra-fine shimmer particles, the product provides an intense soft golden champagne glow that can easily be blended out or built up depending on your preference. The application is very smooth and once it's blended and set, the highlighter wears very well. It's not completely transfer-proof but it will stay put through most of the day.

I've been mainly using this as a regular highlighter (for the cheeks or the brow bone), but as recommended by Marc Jacobs, the product can also be mixed directly into your normal foundation or primer for an all-over glow. I have pretty oily skin so having anything even remotely shimmery all over the face is a big no-no. However, if you have a normal skin type, adding a teeny tiny bit of the Dew Drops to your foundation may work well to provide a natural summer glow.
Overall, this is a really nice liquid highlighter. I don't think the formulation or the color is anything super revolutionary but everything is well executed and the packaging feels very luxurious!
