MUJI Skincare Review
With the arrival of the new flagship Vancouver store on Robson Street, MUJI is winning over Canadian consumers right and left. With its minimalist, branding-free aesthetic, the Japanese brand is all about offering simple, practical, and well-made products. I've only recently discovered that the brand has a skincare range so today I want to give you a quick look at some key items. To read my reviews, click......

MUJI Skincare | Cleansers:
Ranging from foams, oils, to gels, Muji has a very wide selection of face cleansers. I have here three great options for normal and sensitive skin, starting with the Mild Moisture Cleansing Foam ($12 CAD for 120ml), a gentle foaming cleanser formulated with apricot juice and peach leaf extract. If you love a good lather, look no further because a little goes a long way with this cleanser. Just a pea-sized amount creates a rich and thick foam that leaves the skin feeling super clean and refreshed but not dry or tight.

If makeup removal is what you are looking for, then check out the Sensitive Skin Cleansing Oil ($19.50 CAD for 200ml). Made with an olive oil base, this has a very thick and viscous texture. I was a little worried that it might leave behind a greasy residue but the product washed off surprisingly well. It removes all traces of makeup (even waterproof mascara) so there is no need for a pre-cleanse. Quite honestly, this is a very good cleansing oil. With the affordable pricing, I can easily see it replacing my usual Shu Uemura oils.
Last but not least is the Mild Cleansing Gel ($10.50 CAD for 120ml). Also infused with apricot juice and peach leaf extract, it is a thick gel cleanser that effectively removes dirt and face makeup. Unlike the Cleansing Foam, the gel does not lather. However, it cleans really well and has a light and refreshing citrus scent. I love using it on days when I don't wear a lot of makeup.
MUJI Skincare | Sensitive Skin Light Toning Water & Sensitive Skin Light Moisturizing Milk: Review

MUJI Skincare | Sensitive Skin Light Toning Water ($13.50 CAD for 200ml):
Made with the natural waters of the Japanese city of Kamaishi, this is a gentle, pH-balanced toner designed to soothe and hydrate the skin after cleansing. Also infused with extracts of grapefruit seed and portulaca succulent, the formulation is light and fragrance-free. It dispenses from a small nozzle and absorbs quickly on the skin, leaving behind zero texture or residue. Overall, this is a simple, affordable toner perfect for a no-fuss skincare routine.

MUJI Skincare | Sensitive Skin Light Moisturizing Milk ($13.50 CAD for 200ml):
A face lotion also made with the waters of Kamaishi, the Sensitive Skin Light Moisturizing Milk is the perfect moisturizer for normal to dry skin. Housed in a simple plastic bottle equipped with a small nozzle dispenser, the Moisturizing Milk spreads and absorbs easily on toned skin. There is no greasy residue and it is surprisingly effective at keeping my skin moisturized. Again, this is a great addition to a simple, no-fuss skincare routine. I think, men, in particular, will really enjoy incorporating both this and the Toning Water into their daily routine because they are scent-free, easy-to-use, and highly effective.

As mentioned above, both the toner and the moisturizer comes in bottles equipped with a simple nozzle dispenser, which can be upgraded with a pump (for the moisturizer) or spray (for the toner) bottle head. These are sold separately by MUJI and are also compatible with similar bottles from other companies.
