Bite Beauty | Spice Things Up Amuse Bouche Lipstick: Review and Swatches
Released earlier this summer, the Bite Beauty Spice Things Up Amuse Bouche Lipstick ($30 CAD for 4.35 g each) offers eight warm, exotic lip colors just perfect for fall. Inspired by the colorful spices of Marrakesh, La Boqueria of Barcelona, and the bazaars of Istanbul, this limited edition collection is available exclusively online at Bite Beauty and Sephora. I've got review and swatches of all eight shades to share with you today. To read on, click......

Packaging:
As is with the original Amuse Bouche shades, the Spice Things Up Amuse Bouche Lipsticks are housed in a matte gray tube paired with a curvy-topped cap. The lipstick bullet has a classic slanted tip and it is pressed with the Bite "B" logo along the side. The packaging is simple and minimalist yet it feels fancy and well-made.

Formulation:
Infused with the same 12 nourishing oils and triple-milled pigments as the original Amuse Bouche lineup, every single one of these spice-inspired lipsticks is pigmented, creamy, and hydrating. The lipsticks are lightweight yet smoothing and cushioning. In terms of wear, the Amuse Bouche Lipsticks perform very well. Although the finish is not free from smudging or transferring, the colors last quite a while as the pigments are so intense, particularly with the bright and deeper shades. I wish there's more to say about these lipsticks but I really don't have any critiques. Simply put, the Bite Amuse Bouche formulation is one of the best on the market and every single shade in this limited edition collection wears like a dream.

Star Anise: Soft beige-gray with just a hint of lavender. This is not my kind of color but the formulation is surprisingly opaque and creamy for such a light shade.
Pink Salt: Flattering mauve-rose that's not too warm and not too cool.
Toasted Cardamom: Light dusty warm nude.
Lit Turmeric: Muted light orange that's a unique shade that I've not seen before.

Saffron Fire: This is a stunning orange-red that reminds me quite a bit of "So Chaud" from MAC. If orange reds make a comeback this season, you can thank this shade for that.
Crushed Chili: Deep warm red with just a hint of brown.
Hot Harissa: Smokey brick red that's essentially a combination of Crushed Chili and Saffron Fire.
Smoked Za'atar: Deep neutral brown with no hints of red.

Here is a collage I made of all eight shades. As you can see, this collection offers some great fall and neutral colors. As mentioned, every single shade is perfectly formulated but based on the colors alone, my favorites are "Pink Salt", "Saffron Fire", and "Hot Harrisa". Which one is your favorite?
