Fresh | Black Tea Firming Eye Serum: Review
New from Fresh comes a firming serum for the eyes. A new addition to the Black Tea product range, the Black Tea Firming Eye Serum ($95 CAD for 15 ml). promises a "corset-like effect" that gives the eye area a "firmer, lifted look". Since I'm nearing my late 20s, I've been stepping up my skincare game so this is a very exciting product for me. To read my thoughts and review, click......

Fresh | Black Tea Firming Eye Serum
Housed in a small glass bottle equipped with a convenient pump dispenser, the Fresh Black Tea Firming Eye Serum is formulated with a proprietary black tea complex that improves skin elasticity. Also infused with peptides that reduce puffiness and goji berry extract that boosts firmness, the serum has an unexpected gel texture that's lightweight and quick-absorbing. I'm used to eye serums with a runny, milky texture but the gel formulation of the Black Tea Firming Eye Serum is designed to provide a "corset-like effect" that lifts and firms the eye area. The serum instantly sets after application and it provides a subtle but instant firming effect. With eye creams and eye serums, a big issue I often struggle with is a greasy finish that results in the product migrating and ending up in my eyes. However, with this serum, things stay put so there's absolutely no risk of irritation from migration.

Ingredients: Water, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Pentylene Glycol, Jojoba Oil PEG-150 Esters, Methyl Gluceth-20, PEG-6 Caprylic/Capric Glycerides, Acacia Senegal Gum, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Lycium Chinense Fruit Extract, Saccharomyces Ferment Filtrate, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Rubus Fruticosus (Blackberry) Leaf Extract, Litchi Chinensis Seed Extract, Acetyl Tetrapeptide-5, Tocopheryl Acetate, Tocopherol, Polymethylsilsesquioxane, Carbomer, PEG-150, Sorbitol, Sodium Hydroxide, Parfum (Fragrance), Rhizobian Gum, Maltodextrin, Algin, Xanthan Gum, Adenosine, Polyvinyl Alcohol, Cellulose Gum, Citric Acid, Sodium Metabisulfite, Diamond Powder, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Sodium Citrate, Biotin, Phenoxyethanol, Linalool, Citronellol, Geraniol.

The formulation is lightly hydrating but if you struggle with very dry skin, the serum needs to be followed with an eye cream. One drawback I've noticed with the product is that although the serum itself does not pill, creams applied on top appear to have a difficult time absorbing. Therefore, the serum is not suitable for daytime wear as creams and foundations will pill easily from light rubbing. Nevertheless, I think this is a great addition to your nighttime routine if you are looking for a little boost of firmness and hydration! Do you use an eye serum?
