Clarins | Super Restorative Rose Radiance Cream: Review
For Fall 2019, Clarins has released a brand new day cream that promises plumper, more radiant skin. Described as the "next-generation anti-aging" product, the Super Restorative Rose Radiance Cream ($126 CAD for 50 ml) contains radiance boosters and re-densifying actives for an instant glow. I've got all the details and my review to share with you today. To read on, click......

Clarins | Super Restorative Rose Radiance Cream
Housed in a bright pink glass jar, the Super Restorative Rose Radiance Cream is formulated with refining acids extracted from hibiscus flower, brightening vitamin C, restorative harungana extract, and Clarins' anti-pollution complex containing various botanical extracts. Additionally, the cream contains hazel seed oil, shea butter, and sodium hyaluronate for hydration and nourishment. The first thing anyone will notice about the Rose Radiance Cream will no doubt be its surprisingly pink color. The formulation is in fact tinted to give a rosy glow to the complexion. I was a bit hesitant about this at first as the cream visibly stained my fingertips and the back of my hand when I swatched it for the photos below! However, when applied onto the face, there is actually no noticeable staining (thank goodness). In fact, the pink tint is barely noticeable when blended so I don't think you have to worry unless you have very, very pale skin.

In addition to the pink tint, the Rose Radiance Cream also contains four shades of mother of pearl particles that reflect light, giving the skin a veil of luminosity. As the particles are pretty much microscopic, barely visible even when you examine the cream up-close, the effect is subtle. In terms of texture, the cream is very much in line with other creams from Clarins. The light and creamy texture blends easily and the finish is semi-matte and non-greasy. Although the formulation contains dimethicone, the cream did not feel heavy as the day wears on and I did not experience any unpleasant pilling or patching with layering and makeup application. It's worth noting that the cream is fragranced with notes of peach, peony, and rose. I personally find it very lovely but those sensitive to scented skincare may want to test out a sample first.

One more thing I want to note before wrapping things up is that although the ingredient list contains titanium dioxide as the seventh ingredient, the cream is not advertised to provide any sun protection so an SPF product should still be used for daytime wear. The Rose Radiance Cream is described as a morning cream but for my oily-combination skin, I find it nourishing enough for both day and night use. In fact, when I wake up in the morning after using it the night before, my skin looks noticeably refined and plumped. I've long loved Clarins skincare but the Super Restorative Rose Radiance Cream is definitely a new favorite! Pricing wise, it's slightly steeper as compared to most other creams from the brand but I think it's a worthy investment!
