Kiehl's | Pure Vitality Skin Renewing Cream: Review
Released a couple years back, the Kiehl's Pure Vitality Skin Renewing Cream (C$79 for 50 ml) has been revamped and re-released with a lighter formulation and an innovative packaging. Formulated with sustainably sourced New Zealand manuka honey and Korean red ginseng root, this moisturizer promises a more radiant and vibrant complexion. I've got a detailed review of the formulation (and the new snazzy packaging) to share with you today. To read on, click......

Kiehl's | Pure Vitality Skin Renewing Cream
Before delving into the ingredients of the Kiehl's Pure Vitality Skin Renewing Cream, we have to take a look at its new vacuum-sealed packaging. Designed to protect the integrity of the cream, the jar opens to reveal a silicone seal with a raised strip in the middle. To dispense, simply press and slide along the strip in the direction indicated and the cream dispenses from a tiny slit. Cream jar packagings have gotten quite creative in recent years but this is the first time I've seen something like this! It's a bit unconventional but appears more effective than those pump-to-dispense jars (example here) in terms of limiting oxygen exposure.

Kiehl's | Pure Vitality Skin Renewing Cream
With a lightweight and quick-absorbing formulation containing nourishing shea, soothing manuka honey, brightening ginseng, and a plethora of other plant oils and extracts, the Pure Vitality Skin Renewing Cream has a very mild floral scent. The silicone-free formulation spreads easily on the skin and it has a surprisingly matte, non-greasy finish. For this reason, this is a great day-time cream that's perfect for applying under makeup. I find the formulation very nourishing and softening and it layers well with other steps of my skincare routine. Because the formulation isn't super-rich and dewy, I think those with dry skin may not find it sufficient for nighttime use. However, for anyone with normal, oily, or combo skin looking for a lightweight moisturizer in an ultra-innovative packaging, definitely give this a try!
