NARS | Orgasm X Cheek Palette & Mini Orgasm Eyeshadow Palette: Review and Swatches
Recently, NARS expanded its well-loved Orgasm range with the all-new Orgasm X Collection. Fronted by a brand new Orgasm X blush shade, the lineup offers several stunning palettes for the cheeks and eyes. I've got reviews and swatches of the Orgasm X Cheek Palette (C$60) and the Mini Orgasm Eyeshadow Palette (C$33) to share with you today. To read on, click......

NARS | Orgasm X Cheek Palette (C$60 for 9.9 g):
Housed in a matte black rectangular palette, the Orgasm X Cheek Palette features three 3.3 g cheek powders. The Orgasm Highlight Powder is a beautiful champagne gold shimmer. The formulation is extremely creamy and intense, just the tiniest swipe provides a whole lot of shine. Although not gritty or chunky, the highlighter is very sparkly so it's not suitable for those that prefer a more subtle sheen.

Next up is the iconic Orgasm Blush. Conceived all the way back in 1999 by Francois Nars, this bestseller is a beautiful cool pink packed with warm golden shimmers. In the past, I've only swatched it a few times in stores so this is really the first time I've tested it out properly. The pink is surprisingly sheer but buildable but I find the golden shimmers a bit overwhelming. By the time I apply enough to achieve the level of pink flush I want, the blush becomes too shimmery, almost highlighter-like. Additionally, the warm shimmers don't jive particularly well with my light neutral complexion so I actually think it would work better on medium to dark skin tones with a warm undertone. Additionally, it's worth noting that although the formulation is very silky, it's not as buttery rich as the other two shades.

Last but not least is the new Orgasm X Blush. A gorgeous warm coral pink with golden shimmers, Orgasm X has, in my opinion, a better balance of color and shimmers. The formulation is rich and buttery and a little goes a long way. The golden shimmers are definitely still noticeable but they are well-matched by the high color intensity. Compared to the original Orgasm, this is also a much warmer shade of pink.

NARS | Mini Orgasm Eyeshadow Palette (C$33 for 4.2 g):
A pocket-sized eyeshadow palette no bigger than a credit card (seriously, this thing is tiny), the Mini Orgasm Eyeshadow Palette contains six 0.7 g powder eyeshadows. I think for many people, the palette is simply too small to be practical but for the price, it is a good investment if you want to try out some NARS shadows without committing to a full-sized palette.

"Full Moon" is a pale metallic pink champagne, "Maximum Pleasure" is a warm golden peach, "Danger Girl" is a matte coral red, "Wild One" is a shimmery golden pink (similar to a more pigmented version of the Orgasm Blush), "Pattaya" is a glittery light bronze shimmer, and "Seduced" is a sparkly reddish copper shimmer. With the exception of the matte coral, which is very sheer, all the shades are super pigmented and creamy. The two sparkly shades are a bit fall-out prone but that's expected given the nature of glittery shadows. Aside from the inconveniently small packaging, this is actually a really lovely palette with some kickass warm orange and coppers.
