Dior | Capture Totale Skincare Collection: Review
Earlier this year, Dior released a new skincare family called the Capture Totale C.E.L.L. Energy Collection. Based on research and development spanning decades, the new range focuses on the restoration of cellular energy, specifically targetting the stems cells of the skin. Boasting a unique combination of four flowers (Madagascan Longoza, Chinese Lily, White Lily, Chinese Jasmine) chosen for their energizing, anti-inflammatory, and anti-oxidant benefits, the collection targets key signs of aging such as wrinkles, fine lines, dullness, and loss of elasticity. Intrigued? I've got a detailed review of the serum-lotion, serum, face cream, and eye cream to share with you today. To read on, click......

Dior | Capture Skincare Collection
Dior | Capture Totale High-Performance Treatment Serum-Lotion (C$85 for 175 ml):
With a viscous liquid texture that's halfway between an essence and a serum, the Capture Totale High-Performance Treatment Serum Lotion is designed to hydrate and plump the skin in preparation for a serum or cream. Formulated with hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, and herbal extracts of Longoza, peony, lily, and jasmine, the serum-lotion has a strong but pleasant floral scent. It feels instantly soothing and hydrating on the skin and despite its thicker consistency, the finish is light and clean with no discernible residue. As is the case with most serums and essences, they are not a vital part of any skincare routine (at least in my opinion) so you can always go without. However, the Capture Totale Serum-Lotion definitely adds a nice and refreshing boost of hydration that makes the skincare routine more enjoyable.

Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Pentylene Glycol, Polyglycerin-3, Aframomum Angustifolium (Longoza) Seed Extract, Paeonia Lactiflora (Peony) Root Extract, Lilium Candidum (White Lily) Bulb Extract, Jasminum Officinale (Jasmine) Flower Extract, Sodium Surfactin, Hydroxylated Lecithin, Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Ascorbyl Glucoside, Sodium Tocopheryl Phosphate, Adenosine, Xylitol, Trehalose, Palmaria Palmata Extract, Niacinamide, Sodium Hyaluronate, Peg-8, Propanediol, Chlorphenesin, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Peg-32, Peg-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Peg-150, Sodium Hydroxide, Parfum (Fragrance), Disodium Edta, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate.

Dior | Capture Totale Super Potent Age-Defying Intense Serum (C$115 for 30 ml):
A bestseller from the brand since its release, the Capture Totale Super Potent Age-Defying Intense Serum is an anti-aging serum that targets wrinkles, fine lines, dullness, and loss of elasticity. Housed in a sleek glass pump bottle, the serum contains the same active ingredients (ex. niacinamide, Longoza, peony, lily, jasmine) as the serum-lotion, but in a higher concentration. The floral-scented formulation also contains squalane and meadowfoam seed oil for extra nourishment. Free of silicones and containing a relatively small amount of alcohol, the Capture Totale Super Potent Serum has a runny, lightweight formulation that absorbs very quickly. There's no greasy or icky residue and it layers well with creams and other serums. The formulation actually reminds me quite a bit of the One Essential Skin Boosting Super Serum (reviewed here), which is one of my favorites from Dior. In addition to being hydrating, the serum is brightening and firming, especially when paired with the Capture Totale Firming & Wrinkle-Correcting Cream.

Described as an anti-aging moisturizer that's both "nurturing and supportive", the Capture Totale Firming & Wrinkle-Correcting Cream is packaged in a luxurious glass jar. A small spatula is included for scooping out the cream. Aside from the key ingredients already mentioned, the cream also contains sweet almond oil, shea butter, and ceramides that really nourish the skin and seal in the moisture. Surprisingly, alcohol is quite high up on the list (fifth ingredient) but considering that there's no silicone in the cream, I'm not too bothered. The cream has a very lightweight texture that's instantly hydrating and comforting on the skin. The finish is slightly dewy but not greasy so it's perfectly fine for daytime use. Even after a couple uses along with the rest of the collection, I've noticed a more radiant complexion so this is definitely a cream that I would recommend!

Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Glycerin, Propylene Glycol Dicaprylate/Dicaprate, Niacinamide, Alcohol, Butylene Glycol, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Cetearyl Alcohol, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Pentaerythrityl Tetraisostearate, Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil, Steareth-21, Diglycerin, Polyglycerin-3, Aframomum Angustifolium (Longoza) Seed Extract, Paeonia Lactiflora (Peony) Root Extract, Lilium Candidum (White Lily) Bulb Extract, Jasminum Officinale (Jasmine) Flower Extract, Sodium Surfactin, Ceramide Np, Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Ascorbyl Glucoside, Sodium Tocopheryl Phosphate, Sodium Acetylated Hyaluronate, Adenosine, Xylitol, Trehalose, Palmaria Palmata Extract, Camelina Sativa Seed Oil, Polymethyl Methacrylate, Dimethicone, Cetearyl Glucoside, Parfum (Fragrance), Glyceryl Stearate, Caprylyl Glycol, Chlorphenesin, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Xanthan Gum, Cetyl Palmitate, Cocoglycerides, Sodium Hydroxide, Glucose, Ci 14700 (Red 4), Citric Acid, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Tocopherol.

Dior | Capture Totale Firming & Wrinkle-Correcting Eye Cream (C$95 for 15 ml):
No skincare collection is complete without an eye cream and the Capture Totale Firming & Wrinkle Correcting Eye Cream is a rich anti-aging eye cream that targets wrinkles, puffiness, and dark circles. Housed in a small glass jar with a spatula scoop, the eye cream is formulated with alcohols, mango butter, shea butter, phytosterol, and the previously mentioned botanical extracts. The eye cream definitely has a thicker consistency as compared to the face cream so a little goes a long way. With that said, the formulation isn't overly greasy and it also doesn't migrate much on the lid, which can be a problem with heavier eye creams. There's a negligible amount of silicones used which is a rarity for luxury eye creams so I'm very happy about that. I don't think this is a super special eye cream that you need to rush to try but if you are investing in the rest of the Capture Totale collection, it's worth checking out!
