Romand | Juicy Lasting Tint in "#11 Pink Pumpkin": Review and Swatches

When I bought the two Romand (stylized as Rom&nd) Glasting Melting Balms a couple months ago from Stylevana, I also purchased one of the brand's Juicy Lasting Tint (C$9.79 for 5.5g). Arguably the most popular product from Romand, the Juicy Lasting Tint is an all-in-one lip color that provides a "candy-coated" glossy shine and a vibrant, long-lasting color. Personally, I've not been a huge fan of lip tints as they tend to be drying or high maintenance. There are some good ones like the Clarins Water Lip Stain but others tend to have issues such as patching and turning milky when in contact with water (I'm looking at you, Dior Addict Lip Tint). Anyhow, I wasn't exactly sure what I was expecting with the Romand Juicy Lasting Tint but I had to see what all the hype was about. To read my thoughts on this product, click......

Packaging:

The Juicy Lasting Tint from Romand comes in a simple plastic tube colored to match the shade inside while the shade name is also clearly labeled on the side of the tube. The applicator is a pretty standard doe-foot, nothing out of the ordinary.

Formulation:

The Juicy Lasting Tint is essentially a combination of a liquid lipstick, lip gloss, and lip stain. The formulation has a light but creamy gel-like consistency that applies very smoothly on the lips. There is a lovely fruity scent and the color is surprisingly pigmented and even. The finish has a noticeable shine but it's not at all sticky. The color is transferrable but it also leaves behind a fairly strong tint. Unlike some other lip tints I've tried, the color does not turn "milky" upon contact with water nor does it turn patchy as it fades. However, the formulation does feel a bit drying as the day wears on. Therefore, I would recommend topping this with a balm once the shine disappears. Overall, though, this is a really nice product that rekindled my interest in lip tints. The ever-expanding color selection is also super impressive. I've already ordered a few more shades from Stylevana since purchasing this one.

#11 Pink Pumpkin is the shade I picked. I was extremely overwhelmed by the beautiful selection of Juicy Lasting Tint colors from Romand but this seemed like a nice and muted everyday color. However, the color turned out brighter and warmer than expected so I'm not sure if it's my cup of tea. However, it's still a really nice color. A word of warning is that when selecting your shades online, really make sure to look through lots of swatches to get a good idea of what the color actually looks like. The Romand promotional swatches, in particular, are really off from the actual colors.
