Not too long ago I tried the very popular Madagascar Centella Ampoule from SKIN1004. I wasn't too impressed but decided to try another ampoule from SKIN1004 that contains more than just 100% Centella asiatica (cica) extract. Designed for those with enlarged pores, the Poremizing Fresh Ampoule (C$24.12 for 100 ml) is formulated with 50% cica extract and pink Himalayan salt rich in minerals that clear pores. SKIN1004 | Poremizing Fresh Ampoule

Packaged in a simple and sturdy glass bottle with a dropper dispenser, the Poremizing Fresh Ampoule is also formulated with aloe juice and hyaluronic acid, in addition to the cica extract and Himalayan salt. The formulation has a slightly viscous but still watery consistency. It is thicker than the SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Ampoule, but it's still thinner than your average serum. With no discernable scent, the formulation spreads easily and absorbs very quickly. There's a slightly dewy finish but it's not heavy or greasy.

Overall, I like the SKIN1004 Poremizing Fresh Ampoule more than the SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Ampoule because the texture is easier to work with. The original Madagascar Centella Ampoule is way too runny, feeling more like a toner than an ampoule/serum. Additionally, the Poremizing Fresh Ampoule does make pores appear more refined, even if only temporarily, while the Madagascar Centella Ampoule only seems to provide a boost of hydration. Overall, though, I can't say I'm in love with this product. It just doesn't do enough for me but it is very affordable, often on sale for less than C$20 on Stylevana.
