Formulated with 10% AHA and 3% PHA, the serum promises a gentle but rapid exfoliation that makes the skin super smooth and glowy. I've got all the details to share with you today....
Packaged in a sturdy glass pump bottle with a very pretty iridescent sheen, the Herbivore Milky Way 10% AHA + Oat Soothing Exfoliating Serum is formulated with jojoba oil, AHAs (lactic acid, glycolic acid, malic acid, tartaric acid, citric acid), PHA (gluconolactone), squalane, oat extract, ceramides, and hyaluronic acid. With a lightweight, slightly creamy consistency, the formulation spreads easily on the skin. There is no discernable scent and it layers and mixes well with other skincare products.
I used to use a lot of AHAs but over the past few years, I've cut back drastically due to sensitivities. Therefore, I've been using this serum very sparingly (a few times a week) and mixed with my moisturizer. So far I've not noticed any redness, irritation, or dryness and I don't plan on increasing the amount or frequency of use. Personally, I think if you have sensitive skin, this is probably not the best AHA serum to start (despite the nourishing ingredients such as ceramides and squalane). I would recommend starting with something less potent and building up your tolerance. However, if you are an AHA veteran, then you will probably love this so I would recommend giving a go!
