Naturium | Retinaldehyde Cream Serum 0.10%: Review
Retinol products can be really hit or miss for me as they’re either too weak to make a difference or so strong that they leave my skin irritated. Still, I’m always on the lookout for one that strikes the right balance. Currently, Naturium has a few retinol options, and their bestselling Retinaldehyde Cream Serum 0.10% (C$54.99 for 50 ml) has caught my attention. Available at a lower (0.05%) and higher (0.15%) strength, depending on your skin’s tolerance, the product is formulated with sustained-release retinaldehyde (also known as retinal, a more potent form of retinol) to boost cell turnover and collagen production, targeting texture, fine lines, and uneven skin tone. I’ve been using the 0.10% version for a couple of months now, so I thought I’d share my experience so far. To read more, click...

Packaged in a squeeze tube with an airless pump dispenser to help preserve the product's integrity, the Naturium Retinaldehyde Cream Serum 0.10% is also formulated with yeast extract, soy amino acids, pomegranate seed extract, and vitamin E. Some retinol products come in oil form, which can feel a bit unpleasant and tends to migrate easily, so I appreciate that Naturium chose a scent-free light cream serum formulation. It spreads easily and absorbs well without leaving behind a greasy or heavy residue.

Since I have been using retinol products regularly for the past year (most recently the COSRX The Retinol 0.5), I have not experienced significant irritation with this one, apart from some dryness and flaking around my mouth. Overall, I think this is an excellent retinol product. I really like that it comes in multiple strengths to suit different levels of retinol experience, though the pricing is on the higher side. It is worth noting that while the product retails for $32 USD, it is priced at $54.99 CAD, which does not reflect the current exchange rate. That said, Shoppers pricing has always been notoriously inflated, so I recommend waiting for a good sale before picking it up.
