Naturium | The Brightener Vitamin C Brightening Body Wash (C$21.99 for 500 ml):

Formulated with vitamin C, fruit enzymes, and hyaluronic acid, this is a brightening and smoothing body wash with a light gel-cream consistency. Softly scented with a citrus zest, The Brightener provides a nice gentle lather that leaves the skin softened and moisturized. Overall, this is a solid everyday cleanser. Personally, the price is a bit high but if you can find it on sale, it's definitely worth stocking up!

Naturium | The Perfector Salicylic Acid Body Wash

Naturium | The Perfector Salicylic Acid Body Wash (C$21.99 for 500 ml):

Formulated with encapsulated, time-released salicylic acid, The Perfector is a clarifying body wash designed to unclog pores and reduce blemishes, perfect for those struggling with body acne. With no discernible scent, the body wash has a very thick gel consistency, making it quite difficult to pump out of the bottle, especially when several pumps are needed at once. The formulation lathers well and definitely makes the skin feel nice and clean. However, I have not noticed any reduction in pore congestion, body acne, or ingrown hairs, so I am not sure how effective the formulation really is. I think a salicylic acid body spray may be better for those who really want to target those issues.

Naturium | Retinaldehyde Cream Serum 0.10%: Review

Retinol products can be really hit or miss for me as they’re either too weak to make a difference or so strong that they leave my skin irritated. Still, I’m always on the lookout for one that strikes the right balance. Currently, Naturium has a few retinol options, and their bestselling Retinaldehyde Cream Serum 0.10% (C$54.99 for 50 ml) has caught my attention. Available at a lower (0.05%) and higher (0.15%) strength, depending on your skin’s tolerance, the product is formulated with sustained-release retinaldehyde (also known as retinal, a more potent form of retinol) to boost cell turnover and collagen production, targeting texture, fine lines, and uneven skin tone. Naturium | BHA Liquid Exfoliant 2%: Review

As someone with oily combination skin who chronically struggles with congested, enlarged pores, salicylic acid (a type of beta hydroxy acid, also known as BHA) is one of the key ingredients I consistently look for in skincare. Lately, I’ve been on a bit of a BHA toner binge, testing out everything from the St. Ives BHA Exfoliating Toner to the SOME BY MI AHA BHA PHA 30 Days Miracle Toner, Benton Aloe BHA Skin Toner, Isntree Chestnut BHA 2% Clear Liquid, and the PanOxyl Clarifying Exfoliant with 2% Salicylic Acid. 

Naturally, the Naturium BHA Liquid Exfoliant 2% (C$29.99 for 120 ml) made its way onto my list of BHA toners to try. A while back Shoppers Drug Mart announced that they will start carrying Naturium in stores and on their website in Canada. This was met with great fanfare on social media but I had actually never heard of the brand before! Founded in 2020 by American beauty influencer Susan Yara, Naturium aims to offer clinically backed and affordable skincare that's vegan and cruelty-free.
