Essie Fall 2014 Dress To Kilt Collection: Review and Swatches

Disclaimer: Product featured was provided for review.
Hey everyone, Happy Thursday! As the last of the summer days approach, I thought it'd be a good time to share with you all some swatches of the Essie Fall 2014 Dress to Kilt Collection. Inspired by rich autumn hues that give off an air of sophistication and mystery, the six-shade collection is "highly complementary" and helps make a "serious style statement".

The Perfect Cover Up:
A smoky dark teal, this one is a lovely two coater with a great formulation. I love how dark this shade is without looking completely black.

Fall in Line:
This one is a very unique taupe-y jade. The formulation is rich and pigmented, I used two coats for the swatches below.

Take It Outside:
A beige-y taupe, Take It Outside is a unique and sophisticated nude for fall. I expected the formulation to be quite sheer but the polish is surprisingly pigmented. I used two coats for the swatches.

Dress to Kilt:
A fall collection would not be complete with a red creme. Dress to Kilt isn't too bright or too vampy, it's definitely my kind of red. Superb formulation, two coats for opacity.

Style Cartel:
Described as an "inky cobalt blue", Style Cartel is a super intense shade that's very appropriate for cold weathers. This one stains a bit so make sure to wear a good base coat underneath.

Partner in Crime:
This one is a simple dark chocolate creme. The formulation is amazing, two coats for opacity.

Overall:
The collection itself is very cohesive and sophisticated and the formulation for all the shades is very rich and pigmented. Although no one shade really stands out to me as a super unique shade, I still quite like Fall in Line and Dress to Kilt.
