Esvie Cosmetics Exclusive Eye Palette Makeup Subscription: Review and Swatches

Disclaimer: Product featured was provided for review.
Hey guys, Happy Friday! Today I have an exciting new subscription service to share with you guys and this one focuses solely on the eyes. Esvie: The Exclusive Eye Palette Makeup Subscription offers specially curated eyeshadow palette and liner right at your doorstep every month for $24.99 per month. Today I have the August edition swatched and reviewed, to find out more about Esvie and and see some more pictures, click.......
Based in Ontario and founded by a sister-brother duo, Esvie delivers special-themed, cruelty-free shadow palettes and complementary eyeliners to your mailbox every month. For August, the theme is "It's So L.A." and included in this month's bag (a small printed cloth bag with drawstrings) is an eyeshadow trio and a pencil liner.
The shadows come in a plastic black compact equipped with a double ended applicator. The company is relatively new and given that this is its first palette, the packaging definitely needs improvement because the label is made from a plain sticker and is adhered kind of off centered.
In terms of formulation, the shadows are very pigmented but quite powdery. There was quite a bit of fall out because the shadows aren't as finely milled as I would like. However, I do love the color selection for this month as they are all very wearable neutrals.
The liner included with this month is a dark brown with gold glitters. The formulation is actually quite impressive; it's creamy, pigmented, and smudge-proof. Again, the packaging definitely needs work. I don't like that the label is stuck on there as opposed to printed or embossed.
Here are some swatches of the products:
And here is a quick look I pulled together using all the shadows and the liner.
Overall:
The liner is a hit but both the formulation and the packaging of the shadows needs tweaking. I really like the idea of this subscription service and I think it is particularly good for those that are just starting out with makeup and want to get some specially curated eye products delivered to the door every month.
