NYC New York Color Fall 2014 Runway Inspired Look: #NYCBeautyPro September Challenge

For the month of September,  the New York Color Canada Beauty Blogger Program asked us to draw inspiration from Fall 2014 trends and create a runway inspired makeup look using some of New York Color's new and popular products. For this season, it is all about dramatic jewel-tone eyes and neutral nails. To see more pictures and swatches of the products I used, click.......
For the eyes, I used three products from NYC:
Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil in "937 Teal" ($3.99):
This is a gorgeous, creamy, and ultra pigmented gel pencil liner. I used it this as a base for my shadows and it made everything so much more intense and vibrant.

HD Color Trio Eye Shadow in "West Vintage"($2.99):
This is a nifty little palette that includes three shadows that help achieve a dramatic and fun smoky eye. "West Vintage" features one shimmery highlight with a hint of green, a gorgeous deep purple and a shimmery dark green. The pigmentation of these are superb, for under three dollars, the value is just phenomenal.

Sparkle Eye Dust in "Aquamarine Sparkle" ($2.99):
This is an interesting presentation of a loose eye shadow. The product comes in a standard lip gloss tube and dispenses via a doe-foot applicator. The powder is finely milled and the pigmentation is spectacular, but there is a lot of fallout, especially when I try to pull the wand out of the tube. So make sure to use this over the sink or some scrap paper so the shimmer doesn't land everywhere.

Here are some arm swatches of all the product, these are some intense colors!
For the face, I finished things off with some black gel liner from Maybelline and some falsies from Kiss (the style is called "Shy"). For my cheeks I used Clarins blush in "Tawny Pink" and for the lips I used Yves Rocher Sheer Botanical Lipstick in Marron Glace.

For the nails, I kept it super simple and neutral with NYC Nail polish in "201 Fashion Safari".

I am all about bold lips and nails for fall but playing up the eyes for this look was actually quite fun. What do you think of my "runway-inspired" look? What do you like to go big on during the fall months? Lips or eyes? Let me know in the comments below, thanks for dropping by!
