Shu Uemura Brave Beauty Vision of Beauty Collection Vol 01 Eye Palettes: Review and Swatches

Along with the gorgeous lipsticks I reviewed a couple days ago, Shu Uemura also released three super vibrant shadow palettes as part of its Vision of Beauty Vol. 01- Brave Beauty Collection for Fall 2014. Packaging:
The Brave Beauty Eye Palettes ($90 CAD) come in sleek and glossy white plastic rectangular compacts. The front has a modern brushstroke design with the Shu Uemura logo in shiny silver. The shadows can be taken out of the palette because the platte can be partly disassembled; this allows you to mix and match to make your own palette for travel.

Formulation:
Each shadow comes with five shimmery shadows and one matte shadow. Overall, the pigmentation and texture of the shimmery shadows are all very good with a few super rich and pigmented standouts that you can probably spot in the swatches below. The mattes were all quite dry and hard and required several swipes to show up opaque.

Overall:

These are beautifully packaged and thoughtfully curated shadow palettes perfect for those who love a pop of color for the eyes. In terms of pricing, I think $90 CAD is honestly a bit steep for six shadows. However, Shu Uemura is luxury brand and loyal fans of the brand will definitely appreciate the beautiful color selection and sleek design of these palettes.
