Make Up For Ever released a collection of value sets inspired by the makeup from the film. Today I have a gorgeous Berry Lip Trio Set ($38 CAD) to share with you. To see some swatches, click.......
The set features three full-sized Make Up For Ever Lip Products. There are two looks that can be created as suggested by Victoria Down, the head makeup artist for the film.

& Aqua Rouge 50
Aqua Lip 10C is a dark vampy plum lip liner. The formulation of the liner is surprisingly dry and I find it hard to create an even coverage with the product. When paired with the gloss, the liner moves around and comes off patchy. However, I think this should would be really good paired with a opaque lipstick for long lasting wear.
Lab Shine Lip Gloss D4 is a glitter sheer berry gloss. The formulation is lightweight and non-sticky, it's a great gloss!

This is a super stunning warm pinkish red. One side of the Aqua Rouge 50 is a matte lip color with a creamy finish. This side can't really be worn alone as the product will shift when the upper and lower lips touch. I even tried pairing it with a balm on top to ride of the tackiness but that doesn't help with the texture.
The only way to top off the color is with the clear gloss on the other end. The wear is great but it's not infallible like the L'Oreal Infallible Lip Colors. Also, I don't like the way this lip product wears off. It doesn't fade evenly but instead disappears first from the middle of the lips, leaving behind an unintentional 90's dark liner look.

I think this is a cute kit for those that love lip sets. The total value is $74 so the price is quite reasonable. I love the Aqua Rouge as it is such a unique shade of red and the lip gloss has a nice formulation. However, the formulation and texture of both the Aqua Rouge and the Aqua Lip Liner are not my favorite.
Make Up For Ever is available online and in stores at Sephora.
