Make Up For Ever Pro Sculpting Duo Powder in "#1 Pink Beige": Review and Swatches
Make Up For Ever is upping its contouring game this Summer with the release of their new Pro Sculpting Duo Powder ($45 CAD). The brand's original sculpting kit has been a long favorite of mine (reviewed here) so I was pleased to try out this new duo. Available in two shades, the Pro Sculpting Duo Powder features a gel-powder formulation that promises to create a natural and subtle sculpting effect. Packaging:
Housed in the classic shiny black Make Up For Ever compact, the generous 8g of powder is split in half. The compact comes with a mirror and the powder itself is pressed with a studded dot pattern.

#1 Pink Beige
Formulation:
Both the contouring and highlight shades are very pigmented and buttery. The Pink Beige shade combo is designed for fair to medium skin. The highlight is a beautiful iridescent pinkish white. The shimmers are super fine, nothing chunky and over the top. The contouring shade, on the other hand, is satin-y coppery bronze. The shade is warmer than I'd prefer as I find a more neutral/cool contouring shade works better for most skin undertones. However, in terms of formulation, the contour shade works well as a bronzer, subtle and hard to overdo.

The recommended brush for the Duo is the #156 Large Flat Blush Brush ($43 CAD). The blush features wavy synthetic bristles that really helps pick up the powders with no effort at all.

Overall:
This is an absolutely stunning contouring duo. Both shades are finely milled, buttery, and just pigmented enough for a buildable application. I appreciate the duo for its simplicity as the larger contouring palettes we are seeing a lot on the market can be a bit excessive. The Duo is available in a warmer gold/dark brown pairing as well, perfect for those with a darker complexions.

Availability:
Make Up For Ever is available online and in stores at Sephora.
