Clarins Fall 2015 Pretty Night Eyeshadow Palette: Review and Swatches
For Fall 2015, Clarins has a few neutral shadow palettes on the line. For a sultry and smoky night look, the Pretty Night 5-Color Eyeshadow Palette ($39 CAD) holds a handful of shadows that will highlight and accentuate the eyes for a night out on the town. Packaging:
The shadow palette comes in a very simple cardboard packaging with an elastic band that straps the lid closed. It feels like cardboard palettes are slowly being phased out over the recent years so I wasn't very impressed with the packaging of this, especially given the fact that Clarins palettes usually come in really beautiful and shiny compacts.
The inside holds a duo-ended applicator for on-the-go application.

Formulation:
Nude Beige: This is a soft matte brown beige. The formulation is really nice and smooth for a matte finish.
Golden Brown: A dull medium brown with golden sparkles, Golden Brown has a really creamy and pigmented formulation.
Bronze: This is an olive-taupe metallic with a really nice and pigmented formulation.
Smokey Purple: A deep purple satin, this one is disappointingly sheer and patchy with a really hard texture.
Black Brown: This is an almost black with a matte finish, the texture is unfortunately also sheer and stiff.

Overall:
This is an overall satisfactory fall-themed neutral palette. All lighter shades are really pigmented and creamy while the two darker shades are disappointingly sheer and stiff. Additionally, I was really looking forward to a simple but luxurious compact so I was not very impressed with the cardboard packaging.

Availability:
Clarins is available online and in stores at The Bay, Shoppers, London Drugs, and Sears.
