Mary Kay Sheer Dimensions Powder in "Pearls" & "Lace": Review and Swatches

Disclaimer: The products featured were provided for review.
For Winter 2015, Mary Kay has two new Sheer Dimensions Powders ($36 CAD each) designed to highlight and illuminate the complexion. Available in two beautifully designed shades, "Lace" and "Pearls", the powder can be applied on the cheeks, browbones, or dabbed all over the face for a natural glow. Packaging:
The Sheer Dimensions Powders come in shiny silver compacts with clear plastic lids. "Pearls" has a three-dimensional design of elegant pearls of various sizes while "Lace" has a beautiful and surprisingly intricate lace pattern.

Formulation:
The Sheer Dimensions Powders have a baked texture so they don't feel as buttery and soft as your average highlighter. Although slightly dry, the powders are still finely-milled with a non-gritty texture. In terms of pigmentation, these are actually not that sheer but the colors are very soft so they work best as highlighters. The shimmers are fine but I personally wouldn't apply this all over the face. "Pearls" is pale baby pink with cool-tone shimmers. "Lace" is a pastel orange sherbet with golden shimmers; this one could possibly be used as a blush for paler skin tones.
