MAC Huggable Glass Lip Gloss: Review and Swatches

Disclaimer: The products featured were provided for review.
Not too long ago after the success of the Huggable Lipcolor lipsticks, MAC introduced a line of creamy and soft lip glosses called the Huggable Glass ($24 CAD, Limited Edition). Full of pretty spring colors, the glosses have a "dual-phase" formulation that promises shine and comfort. To see some swatches and my review, click.......

Packaging:
The Huggable Glass glosses come in slightly chubby clear tubes. The cap has a shiny gunmetal finish and the doe-foot applicator is wider than normal. I think it's worth noting that there is only 2.5ml of product in each tube, which is less than half of what most gloss tubes hold. The clear packaging creates the illusion of lots of gloss, but there is actually only very little. Mind you, I've never ever finished a whole tube of gloss in my life, but still, 2.5ml for $24 CAD is pretty steep.

Formulation:
With a lightweight formulation that's slightly runnier than your usual lip gloss, Huggable Glasses indeed feel very nourishing and lovely on the lips. The texture is a lot more gel-like and non-sicky compared to Lipglasses but it's pretty similar to Creamsheen Glasses. In terms of pigmentation, it's really dependent upon the shade, so take a look at the breakdown below. The wear is okay, four or so hours depending on how much eating and drinking I do. However, because the gel-like formulation doesn't cling to the lips, it will transfer and smudge.

Embraceable Me: A super sheer pale baby pink, this shade has some formulation issues. There were visible bits within the gloss that felt gritty when I rubbed my lips together. I'm not sure if this was a manufacturing issue as none of the other shades were like this.
Love Buzz: This is a lovely pink that turned out really bright on my lips! Maybe I applied a little more than I did with the others but the coverage is very intense, smooth, and cushion-y, making it my favorite out of the four.
Keep It Light: A neutral beige nude, Keep It Light is sheer and slightly streaky. However, it still ended up looking pretty good on the lips.
Never Say Never: This is a pretty soft coral with a great coverage and a lovely texture.
