Recently, social media supermodel and reality star Kendall Jenner has partnered up with Estee Lauder to create a fun and youthful makeup and skincare collection called The Estee Edit. Today I have two very pretty eye shadow products from the collection to share with you, to see some swatches, click.......
The Estee Edit The Edit Eyeshadow Palette
Packaging:
The Edit Eyeshadow Palette comes in a simple, white faux croc-skin plastic case. The outside has a large graffiti-sprayed blue dot while the large mirror inside is embossed with Kendall's autograph.
The Metallicshadow Creme + Powder, on the other hand, is housed in a double-tiered jar. The upper tier has a flip cap that opens to reveal the cream shadow and the entire lid plus the cream shadow twists off to reveal the loose powder shadow. I personally am not a fan of the packaging. The holes for the loose shadow jar are far too small and restrictive; even when I shook the entire jar to dispense some powder, very little came out.

The Estee Edit The Edit Eyeshadow Palette ($60 CAD):
This is a lovely 14-shade palette housed in a unique faux croc-skin patterned blue and white compact. Included are two glitter "transformer" shades that supposedly change color under black light. The other six shades are divided into two halves, which I find a bit awkward as some duos are mattes and shimmers and I don't like the possibility of them mixing.
The majority of the shades are very creamy and pigmented but a few of the satin matte are incredibly disappointing. The matte taupe, the matte brown, and the matte carbon, for example, are extremely patchy and chalky. Overall though, I'm happy with the shimmer and glitters.

Metallicshadow Creme + Powder in "AquaNova"
Metallicshadow Creme + Powder in "AquaNova" ($29 CAD):
A complementary two-in-one eye color, the Metallicshadow duo in "AquaNova" contains a dark hunter green cream shadow and a sheer sparkly dark green loosw powder shadow. The cream shadow has a thick and slightly tacky formulation that's surprisingly pigmented. The texture is not very easy to spread and blend but once it sets, it becomes quite resistant to smudging. The loose powder shadow, on the other hand, is quite sheer. However, when applied over the cream, the shadow adds a lot of glam and dimensions.
