Packaging:
The new Artist Rouge Lipstick comes in a sturdy matte black metal case. The inner tube has a silver base engraved with the Make Up For Ever logo. The packaging feels very edgy, it's kind of industrial-looking but super stylish.
Interestingly, the lipstick bullet is very pointy. I thought this would have been great for achieving a more accurate application but it dulled out quickly so the design was more for the aesthetics.

Formulation:
Available in 31 creams and 14 mattes, the Artist Rouge Lipsticks come in a very wide array of shades. All six shades I've tried here are pretty great. The matte is super pigmented with a non-drying formulation that clings to the lips for a long-lasting wear. The creams are ultra rich and pigmented. The formulation is very cushioning so it glides over any dryness and wrinkles, making it perfect for any lip type. See below for reviews of each shade.

M401: Stunning true red, M401 is matte. The lipstick is very pigmented, it gives a full coverage in almost one-swipe. The wear is great as well, the color clings nicely to the lips.
C506: Gorgeous deep burgundy wine-red cream, C506 is rich and pigmented. This shade is the perfect balance of vampy and classy.
C603: Beautiful dark teal cream with a fairly pigmented formulation. The lipstick is mostly blue but it has just a hint of green. I had a bit of trouble getting a smooth and opaque coverage on my upper lip so I would have preferred a slightly more pigmented formulation.

C105: This is a pale beige-peach nude. The pigmentation is decent but the color is not my cup of tea.
C211: My favorite shade out of the bunch, C211 is described by Make Up For Ever as "universally beautiful on all skin tones" and that's definitely not wrong. The lipstick is a gorgeous rosy brown. The pigmentation is perfect and the formulation is extra rich. In terms of wear, this shade fared okay. It's prone to transferring but it's pigmented enough that it will wear for at least five or so hours.
C502: This is a unique dull lavender cream. For a color this light, the pigmentation is pretty good!
