Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in "Project Chimps": Review and Swatches

Disclaimer: This post contains affiliate links and the products featured were provided for review.
This fall, Kat Von D has a brand new, limited-edition Everlasting Liquid Lipstick ($24 CAD)! An avid advocate against animal-testing, Kat Von D created this very special shade called "Project Chimps". 20% of the retail price is going towards Project Chimps, a non-profit organization that provides lifetime sanctuary for retired chimps that were once used as test subjects in private research. Needless to say, the Everlasting Liquid Lipstick is completely cruelty-free and 100% vegan. To see some swatches and my review of this beautiful color, click......

Packaging:
"Project Chimps" comes in the classic Everlasting Liquid Lipstick packaging; it's housed in a long and thin lip gloss tube printed with ornate designs. The applicator is a standard doe-foot, nothing too special but it's pretty good at giving a precise application.

Formulation:
"Project Chimps" is a beautiful rusty red with a subtle hint of brown. Like all Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks, "Project Chimp" is very pigmented and lightweight. It applies like a creamy liquid and sets quickly to a completely matte and transfer-proof finish. Admittedly the formulation can get a bit drying, but it's pretty much the price you pay for a long-lasting wear. The product doesn't really have a scent, although there may be a subtle whiff of chemical smells. Overall, this is a great product with an even greater cause. The color is also very fall and winter friendly so if you are thinking of picking this up, do it quickly because it will sell out!
