Housed in the most shiny and reflective silver casing, the Kat Von D Holiday 2016 limited edition lipstick has square studs all across the cap and the base. The top of the cap has an intricate and super cool-looking etching of the KVD logo and the side of the lipstick bullet is pressed with the same design.

Lolita II and Double Dare are two of my fave shades from the Kat Von D Liquid Lipstick range (see Lolita II swatched here and Double Dare swatched here) so I was very excited to try these. However, I was not very pleased with the formulation. Both shades are very matte and although they aren't super sheer, they definitely lack richness and silkiness. They have a patchy coverage that feels excessively silicone-y. The texture they leave on the lips is drying and if you have wrinkly lips with dry patches, neither of these shades will look very flattering. With that said, the product does cling well to the lips for a decent wear.
Lolita II: A soft terra-cotta peach, this shade is comparatively lighter than its liquid lipstick counterpart. The formulation is buildable to an opaque coverage.
Double Dare: This is a matte rose with a slightly sheerer formulation as compared to Lolita II. Compared with its liquid lipstick version, this is pinker and less peachy. As you can see in my lip swatches, the coverage is noticeably patchy.
