Lancome Grandiose Liner | New Shades for Spring 2017: Review and Swatches
Although not perfect, the Lancome Grandiose Liner ($40 CAD) was a surprise favorite of mine from last year and for Spring 2017, Lancome is adding a handful of eye-catching new colors to the lineup. To see some swatches of a hot pink and a shimmery blue, read on by clicking.......

Packaging:
The Lancome Grandiose Bendable Eyeliner comes in an elongated teardrop-shaped packaging. The black-to-clear handle is embedded with a beautiful black rose but the key feature is that it's bendable. A little clicky ball joint near the base allows you to bend the handle into two different 35-degree positions. I personally think it's a neat idea, although I do have to admit that I've gotten pretty accustomed to the traditional eyeliner handle over the years. With that said, I did notice that the bendable handle makes it easier to do my left eye (I'm right handed). I like to hold the base of the bent portion when lining my left eye, the bent angle gives me more control and a better grip.

Additionally, the eyeliner has a very nice and flexible felt-tip. I am usually not a fan of felt-tip applicators but this one is super easy to work with. It's almost a bit sponge-like- not too abrasive but not too flimsy.

Formulation:
The two new shades I have here are both very pigmented and bright. The formulation is smooth and easy-to-apply. They dry quickly but not too quickly, allowing for a precise application that doesn't require you to constantly re-dip the applicator (a problem I experienced with the original black shade). The wear is very good as the liner sets completely to a water- and smudge-proof finish. My only critique of the formulation is that the liner gets a bit dry and crusty when it's completely set. However, this is an issue I always experience with colored liquid eyeliners, so I definitely won't hold it against Lancome.

04 Fuschia Mat: A hot pink with a subtle lavender sheen, Fuschia Mat is nicely pigmented.
06 Ceruleen Metallique: This is a metallic deep blue with a sheer black base. The color actually has a unique duo chrome effect with the blue shifting from a bright teal to a dark purple. The shimmers in this are very fine and they are super smudge-proof.
