Packaging:
This limited edition My Burberry Blush Palette is housed in a gunmetal gray compact with a reflective finish. The outside is etched with the iconic Burberry tartan pattern and the powder inside is pressed with an exquisite floral design. The floral details are very fine and subtle; the design is not as eye-catching as some of Burberry's previous palettes (see
here and
here, for example) but it's definitely a special, collector-worthy item. Additionally, the palette comes with a velvet storage pouch and a mini flattened blush brush (see picture
here).
Formulation:
As is the case with most Burberry limited edition palettes, the My Burberry Blush Palette has a shimmery overspray. The silvery pink sparkles disappear after a couple of swipes, leaving behind a dusty rose blush with a satin matte finish. The color is absolutely stunning as it's literally my favorite shade of rose- not too brown and not too mauve. It's silky, finely-milled, and incredibly pigmented so a little goes a long way.
Although the design of this powder may not be as vibrant or eye-catching as some of the previous palettes Burberry has put out, the beautiful rose color is sophisticated and flattering. Plus, the formulation is just fantastic, making this the ultimate fall cheek color!
