Lise Watier | Rouge Gourmand The Nudes Lipstick: Review and Swatches
For Spring 2018, Lise Watier is expanding its Rouge Groumand The Nudes Lipstick ($25 CAD) collection with four new shades. Infused with the brand's "Maxi-Lip" complex, these lipsticks "visibly increase lip volume and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles". To see some swatches and read my review of the formulation, click......

Packaging:
Unlike the classic Rouge Gourmand Lipsticks from Lise Watier, the new Rouge Gourmand The Nudes are housed in a sleek and simple beige lipstick tube. The packaging reminds me a lot of the Chanel Les Beiges products, so it feels very luxurious and modern.

Formulation:
Lise Watier released three shades of the Rouge Gourmand The Nudes last summer (see swatches here) and for this season, four more food-inspired shades have been added to the roster. With a silky and lightweight texture, these lipsticks are semi-sheer and hydrating. The pigmentation definitely varies among these four shades, so see below for a breakdown of each. In terms of wear, these don't fare too well. After two or three hours of just light eating/drinking, the lipsticks fade noticeable and will require touch-ups throughout the day.

Panna Cotta: This is soft chestnut brown nude. The formulation is semi-sheer but buildable and the finish is fairly even and non-patchy.
Dragon Fruit: A pink rose nude, this shade is also semi-sheer but very buildable. However, the formulation is not as cushioning as that of Panna Cotta so the finish is not as glossy and plumping as I'd like.
Cotton Candy: A pale pastel pink, Cotton Candy is semi-sheer. The finish is surprisingly non-patchy but the color is not very flattering.
Peach Crumble: This is a pastel soft peach. The formulation is extremely sheer in comparison to the other three shades. I had to use several swipes to attain the swatches below and even then, it looks kind of streaky.

Overall, these four new Rouge Gourmand The Nudes are very comparable to the previous three shades released by Lise Watier. The formulation is hydrating and lightweight but the pigmentation is on the sheerer end. My personal picks are "Panna Cotta" and "Dragon Fruit", along with "Latte" from the original trio.
