OPI | Summer 2018 Grease Collection: Review and Swatches
In celebration of the 40th anniversary of Grease (1978), OPI has released a special summer collection inspired by everything Grease. With shade names like "Teal Me More, Teal Me More" and "Pink Ladies Rule the School", the OPI Summer 2018 Grease Collection offers a good mix of soft pastels and fun summer brights. Don't Cry Over Spilled Milkshakes:
A soft off-white cream, Don't Cry Over Spilled Milkshakes is very sheer and patchy. I needed three coats to obtain a smooth and even coverage.

Meet a Boy Cute As Can Be:

Frenchie Likes To Kiss?:
This is a pale lavender infused with a subtle iridescent sheen. The formulation is sheer and patchy and even with three coats, the finish is uneven.

Hopelessly Devoted to OPI:
This is a pale peachy pink. The formulation is slightly sheer but easy to apply. I used three coats for the swatches below but you can probably get away with two.

Pink Ladies Rule the School:
A creamy warm pink, Pink Ladies Rule the School is creamy and nicely pigmented. I used two coats for the swatches below.

You're the Shade That I Want:
Hands down the most pigmented shade out of the entire collection, You're the Shade That I Want is a gorgeous berry cream. The application is a dream so you can probably get away with just one coat. However, I used two just in case.

Tell Me About It Stud:
A classic true red, Tell Me About It Stud is pigmented and creamy. The formulation has an alluring translucency but the application is smooth and non-patchy.

Teal Me More, Teal Me More:
Now how clever is the name of this shade? Teal Me More, Teal Me More is a rich medium teal. The formulation is nice and pigmented but this is definitely a color we've seen from OPI before. I used two coats for the swatches below.

Chills Are Multiplying!:
This is a deep inky blue lightly sprinkled with a dash of bright blue shimmers. The formulation is quite sheer and translucent but I was still able to obtain a smooth coverage with two coats.

Danny & Sandy 4 Ever!:
The most eye-catching and unique shade out of the bunch, this is a gorgeous granite gray packed with iridescent shimmers that shift between silver, lavender and blue. Initially, the polish seemed very sheer with the first coat but with a thicker, second coat, I was able to get a smooth, flawless coverage.

Overall, this is a fun summer collection. The color offering is a little lackluster given how many of these shades can be duped from past collections but the formulation generally is impressive. My personal picks are "Teal Me More, Teal Me More", "Chills Are Multiplying", "You're the Shade That I Want", and "Danny & Sandy 4 Ever".
