Dior | Summer 2018 Cool Wave Collection: Review and Swatches
Inspired by the contrast of the hot summer sun and the cool, refreshing pool water, the Dior Summer 2018 Cool Wave Collection has already hit the counters so I've got a few key pieces from the lineup to share with you today. To see some swatches and read my reviews, click......
Dior | Summer 2018 Cool Wave 5-Couleurs Eyeshadow Palette in "367 Cool Down": Review and Swatches

Dior | Cool Wave 5-Couleurs Eyeshadow Palette in "367 Cool Down" ($73 CAD for 5.5 g):
With five shades of blue, the "367 Cool Down" 5-Couleurs Eyeshadow Palette just screams summer. You get a sheer pearl with a hint of baby blue, a soft shimmery aquamarine, a bright sky blue shimmer, a silvery metallic baby blue, and a satin dark navy blue. All the shades with the exception of the sheer pearl baby blue are nicely pigmented and super silky. I personally would have preferred a neutral, matte transition or highlighting shade but if you love blues, then this is the perfect summer eye palette!

Dior | Diorshow Cooling Stick Cooling Effect Eyeshadow in "003 Fresh Pink" ($41 CAD for 1.6 g):
A cream eyeshadow pencil housed in a twist-up and retractable packaging, the Diorshow Cooling Stick features an unbelievably smooth and buttery formulation that feels lightly cooling when first applied onto the skin. "003 Fresh Pink" is a pale metallic pink. The color applies evenly and it is very pigmented. Whether layered to create a more intense coverage or blended for a sheer wash of color (as I've done in the swatches below), the formulation stays put and remains smudge-proof. If you are a fan of eyeshadow pencils, then this is definitely worth checking out!

Dior | Dior Addict Lipstick in "040 White Splash" & "411 Nude Chill" ($44 CAD for 3.5 g each):
For summer 2018, Dior released two new limited edition Dior Addict Lipsticks. "040 White Splash" is a clear balm scattered with a very light sprinkle of iridescent shimmers. It doesn't provide any pigmentation but the formulation is slick, lightweight, and hydrating. You can use it over bare lips or on top of a lip stain for some extra hydration and subtle sparkles. See "040 White Splash" used over a pink lip stain at the end of this post.

"411 Nude Chill" on the other hand is a soft beige-brown infused with a hydrating balm core. The formulation is semi-sheer but it does settle a bit in the fine lines of the lips. Nevertheless, the color is very flattering and like "040 White Splash", the lipstick feels nourishing yet weightless on the lips. The wear time is short but even after the lipstick wears off, the lips are left feeling softened and hydrated.

Dior | Dior Addict Lip Tattoo Long-Wear Colored Tint in "341 Litchi" & "551 Watermelon" ($37 CAD for 6 ml each):
Released last summer, the Dior Addict Lip Tattoo is a line of weightless stains designed to provide a bright and long-lasting lip color (see my original review here). For a limited time, four new shades are added to the lineup and I have here "341 Litchi" and "551 Watermelon". "341 Litchi" appears as a light orange in the tube but when applied on the lips, it actually provides a soft coral tint. A patchy and milky orange residue remains after application so the product needs to be blotted to achieve an even finish.

"551 Watermelon", on the other hand, is a bright, almost neon pink. This one doesn't have as much of an unflattering residue but it still looks better with some blotting. These lip stains are pretty intense in color but at the same time, they are water-soluble so there is noticeable fading with drinking. Nevertheless, they fade evenly as to not make the lips look too patchy. I would recommend topping them with a clear balm or gloss (like the Dior Addict Lipstick in "040 White Splash") to seal in the color and to keep the lips hydrated.
