Sally Hansen | Summer 2018 Summer in Bali Collection: Review and Swatches
Inspired by the tropical beauty of the Indonesian island of Bali, the new Sally Hansen Summer in Balli Collection is filled with lush and vibrant colors. Available exclusively in the two-step, no UV-light Miracle Gel formulation, the seven-shade collection promises a chip-resistant wear when paired with the Miracle Gel Top Coat. I've got swatches and reviews to share with you today, so to read on, click......

Shock Wave:
A pretty baby pink, Shock Wave has a sheer but even formulation. There appears to be some iridescent pink and orange shimmers in the bottle the effect goes unnoticed once applied on the nails. I needed three coats to obtain a smooth and opaque coverage.

Pink Up:
This is a bright medium pink packed with the same kind of iridescent pink and orange shimmers as seen in "Shock Wave". However, the effect here is a lot more prominent. The pigmentation is good but the formulation is rather thick and uneven so I needed three coats to obtain a smooth and opaque finish. For a color like this, two coats are generally enough for a flawless application so this one is a little disappointing.

World Wide Red:
A translucent mandarin orange, World Wide Red is smooth and nicely pigmented. With a careful application, you can probably get away with just two coats but I needed three to achieve an even, non-patchy finish.

Tidal Waves:
This is a bright royal blue cream with a pigmented and smooth formulation. I used two coats for the swatches below.

Game of Chromes:
A cool-toned pale champagne metallic, Game of Chromes (love the name!) is nicely pigmented and smooth. I used two coats for the swatches below and the finish is not too streaky.

Terra-Coppa:
This is a stunning rose gold metallic packed with fine copper and champagne shimmers. The formulation is sheerer than expected but I was still able to get away with just two coats.

Combustealble:
A shimmery teal with a subtle blue-purple duochrome effect, Combustealble is what I call a classic mermaid nail color. The formulation is slightly sheer but you can probably get away with just two coats. I used three in the swatches below to ensure a completely opaque and even coverage.

The colors in this collection are absolutely perfect for summer! The formulation left a bit to be desired as most of the shades required three coats for a flawless coverage. My personal picks are Terra-Coppa and World Wide Red. What's your favorite shade? Share with me in the comments below!
