Sephora Collection | #Lipstories Lipstick in "01 Brunch Date" & "09 Labyrinth City": Review and Swatches
Earlier this year, Sephora Collection expanded their already impressive lip color range with a brand new, 40-shade lipstick collection called the #Lipstories Lipstick ($10 CAD for 4 g each). Inspired by the best moments in life, each shade captures a special memory or a magical adventure. I have two matte shades to share with you today. Packaging:
Each #Lipstories Lipstick comes in a unique, one-of-a-kind plastic and cardboard lipstick case printed with photographs of various travel destinations. I know a lot of people don't love cardboard-packaged lipsticks as they are more prone to wear and tear but I personally find them super cute. These ones remind me a lot of the new Tarte Double Duty Beauty Glide & Go Buttery Lipstick packaging but they feel just a touch more sophisticated.

Formulation:
The Sephora Collection #Lipstories Lipstick Collection offers three different finishes (matte, metallic, and satin) and both shades I have here are matte. "01 Brunch Date" is a warm peachy beige while "09 Labyrinth City" is a rich, muted rosewood. With a surprisingly smooth and creamy texture, both shades are pigmented and easy to apply. One swipe provides a completely opaque coverage and although the finish is not a true matte, it's velvety smooth and non-patchy. There's a tiny bit of settling with both shades but because the pigmentation is so intense, the creases are barely noticeable. In terms of wear, these will transfer easily with eating and drinking but both will last through a light meal. Additionally, the formulation is pretty hydrating for a matte lipstick.

For $10 CAD, these lipsticks are seriously impressive! I love how pigmented and creamy both shade feels and the colors are just so flattering and perfect for everyday wear. There are a total of 40 shades to choose from so if you are looking for a budget lipstick that doesn't compromise on quality, then definitely check these out!
