Glow Recipe | Plum Plump Hyaluronic Serum: Review
Glow Recipe is one of my favorite newcomer skincare brands in recent years so I am always excited when they drop a new product. Released not too long ago, the new Plum Plump Hyaluronic Serum (C$55 for 30 ml) is a hydrating serum formulated with antioxidant-rich plum extract and hyaluronic acid of five different molecular weights to ensure a juicy and bouncy complexion. Glow Recipe always gets it right when it comes to packaging and the Plum Plump Hyaluronic Serum is no different. Housed in the most adorable glass bottle shaped like a plum, the serum dispenses from a pump. Free of alcohol and silicones, the serum contains three different types of plum extracts that provide a strong antioxidant effect. Hyaluronic acid of five different weights are used to penetrate different layers of the skin, ensuring the highest level of hydration. Additionally, the serum contains vegan protein and silk protein, providing further support and protection for the skin.

With a very soft fruity scent, the serum has a runny texture that spreads smoothly on the skin. The formulation absorbs very efficiently and there is just the tiniest bit of tacky residue. As many of the serums and creams I use already contain hyaluronic acid, I generally don't invest in skincare that boasts hyaluronic acid as its main ingredient. With that said, I'm very impressed with the quality of ingredients of the Plum Plump Hyaluronic Serum. With its lightweight, silicone-free formulation, the serum blends and layers well with other products, making it a great hydration booster for any skincare regimen. As I already have a pretty extensive skincare routine, I don't think this is a serum that I would restock. However, if you are someone with a simple, no-fuss skincare routine, then Plum Plump is the perfect addition that will bring your skincare game to the next level!
