Youth To The People | Superclay Purify + Clear Power Mask

Housed in a small glass jar, similar to that of the Yerba Mate Resurfacing Energy Facial from Youth To The People (reviewed here), the Superclay Purify + Clear Power Mask is formulated with a combination of three different clays, kaolin (white clay), bentonite (volcanic clay), and montmorillonite (French Green clay), to absorb skin impurities and excess sebum. The mask also contains pore-tightening niacinamide (2%), pore-clarifying salicylic acid, black tea kombucha, and a handful of other skin-loving ingredients (ex. blue algae, aloe vera).

The Superclay Purify + Clear Power Mask has a soft and lightweight clay-cream texture that applies very smoothly onto the skin. The formulation sets within 10 minutes and unlike traditional clay masks, the finish doesn't get super dry or crackly. The mask washes off easily with a damp washcloth and warm water and the skin feels super soft and clean after removal. There is no doubt that this is a nice and gentle clay mask great for regular use, but since there are already so many clay masks on the market, the Superclay Purify + Clear Power Mask doesn't really stand out to me. However, given the fairly reasonable price tag, the cute packaging, and the clean ingredients, the Youth To The People Superclay Purify + Clear Power Mask is worth a try, especially for those with oily, combination, or acne-prone skin!
