Lancôme | Teint Idole Ultra Wear All Over Concealer: Review and Swatches
For years I'd struggled with finding a foundation that worked for me but when I tried the Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Long Wear 24H Foundation (reviewed here), I instantly fell in love. To this day, it is still a holy grail of mine but interestingly, I was not a fan of the Teint Idole Ultra Wear Camouflage Concealer (reviewed here), which I found way too viscous and sticky. So naturally, I was pretty excited to hear that Lancôme is adding another concealer to the Teint Idole Ultra Wear family. Available in 20 shades and promising lightweight, full-coverage, the new Teint Idole Ultra Wear All Over Full Coverage Concealer (C$44 for 13 ml) is already getting a lot of buzz. So is this new Teint Idole concealer as amazing as its foundation counterpart? Read my review to find out......

Packaging:
The Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear All Over Concealer comes in a clear acrylic tube topped with a shiny black cap. There is actually a very nice embossing of the Lancôme rose in gold on the top of the cap but I unfortunately forgot to capture it on camera. The concealer applies with an extra-large tapered doe-foot applicator; there is also a small divot at the tip that helps the doe-foot pick up extra product.

Formulation:
With a lightweight yet creamy formulation, the Teint Idole Ultra Wear All Over Concealer spreads nicely on the skin and blends evenly for a medium coverage. The formulation is buildable to full but I feel that Lancôme took some liberty in calling this a full coverage concealer. Unless used with a full-coverage liquid foundation, the concealer won't fully camouflage serious dark circles or very heavy blemishes. With a satin-matte finish, the formulation is pretty smoothing but I think it pales in comparison to the Lancôme Teint Idole foundation, which sits so beautifully atop the skin, minimizing pores and fine lines all the while feeling featherlight on the skin. This is not to say that this concealer is heavy or greasy but it lacks that ultra-smoothing quality of the Teint Idole foundation. I noticed some minor clinging and settling and the wear time is just okay. There's definitely fading and shine after a couple hours around the T-zone but by the end of the day, most of the coverage under the eye has also faded (when worn over moisturized skin and topped with a powder).

Overall, I think this is a perfectly average concealer that we've seen from other brands in the past (ex. Dior, Too Faced, Urban Decay). If you are looking for a lightweight medium to full coverage concealer, it's certainly worth a try. However, if coverage and longevity are what you are looking for, I would recommend just getting the Teint Idole Ultra Wear 24H Foundation instead because you wouldn't even need a concealer with that. I have swatched for you three different shades of the Teint Idole Ultra Wear All Over Concealer above and did a comparison swatch of the shade that matches me best. See below for the details of all three.

215 Bisque Neutral: This is a light neutral beige that's a great match for my skin tone.
110 Ivorie Cool: Very similar to 215, this is a light beige with a subtle pink hue.
095 Ivorie Warm: This is a very pale ivory with a subtle yellow tint.
