Lush | Mask of Magnaminty & Dream Cream: Review
Earlier this year, Lush released its own podcast called The Sound Bath. After taking a step back from its social media platforms, the brand wanted to create something that "explores what personal, social, and environmental care and wellbeing really mean in today's society". With built-in music meditation and enriching discussions with authors, artists, activists, and experts, The Sound Bath is available wherever you get your podcasts. To promote The Sound Bath, Lush sent me a few self-care must-haves to try out. So today I wanted to give you a low-down on the bestselling Mask of Magnaminty (C$16 for 125 g) and the Dream Cream (C$30 for 240 g). To read my reviews, click......

Lush | Mask fo Magnaminty (C$16 for 125 g):
I absolutely adore Lush face masks so I was very surprised to learn about the existence of this gem (that I somehow completely overlooked)! A bestseller for years, Mask of Magnaminty is a super refreshing clay mask made with a base of bentonite clay and kaolin clay with a dash of lightly scrubby ground red beans. With a strong peppermint scent, the mask has a smooth but thick paste-like consistency that applies like a dream. The formulation feels instantly cooling and calming and it provides a light exfoliation during the removal process. The mask sets pretty quickly, drawing out excess sebum and impurities from the pores. It also washes off nicely, leaving the skin soft and clean. My skin honestly feels and looks so good after using this mask! I definitely recommend it to those with oily or combination skin looking for deep cleaning. It's worth noting that the mask is available in three different sizes and for those that want no synthetic preservatives, a "self-preserving" version is also available.

Lush | Dream Cream
Lush | Dream Cream (C$30 for 240 g):
The bestselling body lotion from Lush, Dream Cream is designed to soothe and moisturize sensitive, irritated skin. Formulated with oat milk, rose water, olive oil, cocoa butter, and lavender, the Dream Cream has a milky color, a viscous but runny consistency, and a subtle lavender scent. The formulation blends seamlessly onto the skin, providing instant hydration although I do find the formulation just a touch heavy for everyday use. As someone who can't stand the feeling of any residue left behind by a body lotion, Dream Cream feels simply too rich, especially for the warmer months. However, if you have dry to very dry skin, this would probably provide the much-needed relief you are looking for. Similar to the Mask of Magnaminty, a self-preserving version of the Dream Cream is available if you are looking for a synthetic preservative-free formulation.
