Briogeo | Scalp Revival Rosemary Pre-Wash Oil: Review
A while back I tried Briogeo for the first time and really enjoyed it (read my review of the Scalp Revival Charcoal + Coconut Oil Micro-Exfoliating Shampoo here). So I was quite excited to try a recent release from the brand, called the Scalp Revival Rosemary Pre-Wash Oil (C$44 for 100 ml). Designed for dry and flaky scalp, the scalp oil promises to moisturize and soothe the scalp for stronger, healthier hair. To read all about this product, click......

Briogeo | Scalp Revival Rosemary Pre-Wash Oil
Packaged in a plastic bottle with a long nozzle applicator, the Briogeo Scalp Revival Rosemary Pre-Wash Oil is formulated with castor oil, grapeseed oil, rosemary oil, and tea tree oil to nourish, replenish, and soothe the scalp. To be massaged onto dry scalp and left on for ~15 minutes or overnight, the Scalp Revival Rosemary Pre-Wash Oil has a light, herbal scent and a runny, oily consistency. Although the long nozzle applicator helps with the application, I still found it very difficult to thoroughly cover my entire scalp without getting too much product onto my hair. After leaving it on for about 15 minutes, the oil washes out easily with a regular shampoo, although I did feel the need to put some extra effort into scrubbing the roots.

After shampooing, the oil leaves behind no greasy residue. Perhaps because I don't have a very dry or flaky scalp, I didn't notice much difference after using the Scalp Revival Rosemary Pre-Wash Oil. Therefore, I'm not sure I'm the target audience of the product. Also, just by looking at the ingredient list, I do feel that a simpler, DIY version can be made at home at a fraction of the price. So all in all, this product did not wow me. However, I still highly recommend the Briogeo Scalp Revival Charcoal + Coconut Oil Micro-Exfoliating Shampoo, which is a much more unique product that provides noticeable benefits for the hair and scalp.
