Housed in an orange glass bottle resembling the bulbous appearance of a cloudberry, the Glow Recipe Cloudberry Bright Essence Toner is formulated with cloudberry extract high in vitamin C, vitamin E, and omega fatty acids. The product also contains ubiquinone (aka Coenzyme Q10, a potent antioxidant), fermented rice water, amino acids, and a plethora of botanical extracts designed to brighten and hydrate the skin. With a lightweight, serum-y consistency, the Cloudberry Bright Essence Toner dispenses from a pump dispenser. I personally would not consider this a toner and it's probably too viscous to even be called an essence. It is a bit curious why Glow Recipe didn't just market this as a serum.

Nevertheless, the product has a very natural fruity scent, it blends and absorbs very quickly and doesn't leave behind a sticky residue. The Cloudberry Bright Essence Toner layers very well with other products and I find it lightly hydrating. I don't think it's as brightening as the more concentrated vitamin C serums I've tried in the past but the formulation is very gentle and non-irritating, perfect for sensitive skin that may be irritated by higher vitamin C concentrations. Overall, this is a refreshing and lightweight toner/essence/serum, it's great for everyday use and the price is reasonable.
