Dior Addict Lip Glow Butter (C$54 for 10 ml). Available in five natural shades, this nourishing lip treatment delivers a glossy finish while giving the lips a soft wash of color. It's formulated with a blend of peptides and ceramides to soothe, condition, and enhance the lips with each use. For swatches and my full review of the formula, click...
Packaging:
The tinted lip balm market is booming right now, so it was only a matter of time before Dior launched its own version. Unsurprisingly, Dior knocked it out of the park in the packaging department. The Dior Addict Lip Glow Butter comes in a minimalist plastic squeeze tube, topped with a soft silicone slanted applicator designed to hug the contours of the lips.
The tube is color-matched to the shade inside, and while the overall design is quite simple, Dior elevates things with a small silver Dior Oblique charm. With many people already customizing their lip balms by adding DIY charms, this thoughtful detail feels timely and on trend. While completely frivolous, the charm still makes the product that much more covetable, transforming a basic lip balm into a beauty accessory and subtle status symbol. Well done, Dior!
Formulation:Formulated with 90% ingredients of natural origin, the Dior Addict Lip Glow Butter is a nourishing balm enriched with squalane, ceramides, peptides, vitamin E, and cherry oil. It carries the same soft, sweet vanilla scent as the original Dior Addict Lip Glow Balm and has a rich yet lightweight buttery texture that glides effortlessly onto the lips. The formulation is non-sticky, providing a cushiony, deeply moisturizing feel. Some shades feature a subtle shimmer, while others are shimmer-free, but all offer a sheer wash of color with no staining effect. The Lip Glow Butter holds up well with minimal eating or drinking, providing long-lasting hydration and comfort that makes it ideal for both day and nighttime use. Below is a breakdown of a few of the shades. I would have liked to see a clear shade or a light pink without any shimmer.
101 Glazed Pink: Packed with fine iridescent shimmers, this is a very sheer baby pink. Personally, I’m not a fan of shimmers in lip products, so I wish a non-shimmery version were also available.
102 Glazed Lavender: Featuring more pronounced pale lavender and blue iridescent shimmer particles, this shade gives the lips a noticeable cool-toned sheen.
103 Toffee: A soft caramel nude, this shade offers a more muted, sophisticated hint of color.
105 Lychee: My favorite of the bunch, this playful pink provides the lips with a natural yet vibrant hint of reddish pink.
