Dior | Miss Dior Essence: Review
New from Dior comes a bold fragrance creation in the form of Miss Dior Essence ($285 for 80 ml). Created by Dior’s perfume creative director Francis Kurkdjian, Miss Dior Essence is described as a “symbol of confident, liberated femininity.” With a gourmand floral accord, the scent introduces a fruity punch to the Miss Dior family. The Bottle:
The Miss Dior Essence comes in a beautiful glass bottle that pays tribute to the original 1948 Miss Dior design by Christian Dior. With an elegant rectangular silhouette, the bottle is etched with a frosted houndstooth pattern. Its structural cap is adorned with the iconic “poignard” bow, crafted from black grosgrain ribbon made in Paris. The fragrance itself is tinted a delicious berry pink, adding a playful and youthful touch to the refined, luxurious design.

The Scent:
Opening on a vibrant, juicy, and sweet note of blackberry, Miss Dior Essence immediately grabs your attention as a sugary gourmand fragrance. As the blackberry settles, jasmine takes center stage with its feminine sweetness, still bolstered by the jammy fruit. As the fragrance develops further, the warm and grounding oak slowly emerges, rounding out the profile. The scent is very strong and long-lasting, so just a couple of sprays are more than sufficient. Overall, Miss Dior Essence is a playful yet intensely sweet fruity fragrance. It reminds me of a warm late-summer evening when the air is filled with the scent of sweet berries and jasmine. If you are a fan of sweet gourmand-floral fragrances, then this is one you need to try!

Top Notes: Blackberry Jam, Elderflower
