Purple Ombre Nails

So now that the whole ombre trend quieted down a bit, I decided to give it a go. I initially planned to swatch "Joy" from my recent Julep Maven box but I decided to be a bit more creative. For more pictures and a full list of products I used, click......
I used "Purr-fect Plum" from China Glaze to give "Joy" an ombre or gradient effect. I used one coat of "Joy" from Julep as the base color (by the way this shade is super pigmented, a tad thick, but good overall). Then, on a damp makeup wedge, I painted a stripe of each polish on the tip, after that I dab the sponge a couple of times on a piece of scrap paper to blend the two colors. Then I simply stipple the sponge on to the tip of my dried nails, and voila! The clean up requires a bit of nail polish remover, but this method is super simple! Here is a close-up:
And coincidentally, or maybe not, my nails matched my phone case! How wicked is that!
