A glowy complexion and a soft pout are two of summer's beauty must-haves and today I have two products from Clarins that will help you achieve those looks. The Instant Light Radiance Complexion Base provides a beautiful natural radiance to the skin and the Lip Balm Crayon gives the lips a moisturizing wash of color. Clarins Instant Light Radiance Complexion Base in "Champagne":
What it is:
-A moisturizing primer that brightens the complexion and blurs imperfections
-Can be used alone, mixed with foundation, or under foundation
-Available in two shades, "Champagne" for warmer undertones and "Rose" for cooler undertones

Packaging:
The Instant Light Radiance Complexion Base comes in a squeezable tube but the opening is attached to a pump dispenser. The pump dispenser is very convenient but I almost wish that the product dispensed from a simple spout because the shiny pump gets quite dirty as it picks up fingerprints and smudges really easily.

Formulation & Coverage:
The Instant Light Radiance Complexion Base in "Champagne" has a very rich and creamy texture. It applies smoothly and sets to a matte finish. The product provided a lot more coverage than I had expected, it's definitely on par with most BB creams I have tried. There is a very noticeable brightening of the complexion from the product, my pores appear diminished and my blemishes appear lighter.
The only downside I can think of is that similar to most primers and BB creams, the Complexion Base kind of clung to dry patches on my skin, as you can see with the acne I have on my chin.

Clarins Lip Balm Crayon in "Creamy Pink":
What it is:
-Creamy lip crayons with a natural shiny finish
-Formulated with mango, apricot, and shea butter that provides moisturization to the lips
-Available in six shades

Packaging:
The Lip Balm Crayon comes in a chubby plastic twist-up crayon. The plastic portion corresponds to the shade and the cap and base are made of a shiny metal.

Formulation & Coverage:
The pigmentation is fairly sheer but the color is definitely buildable. The shade "Creamy Pink" is a gorgeous warm peachy pink. Super creamy and buttery, the Lip Balm Crayon is feels better  on the lips than your average lip balm. With that said though, the moisturization formulation doesn't stay on the lips too long; the color and shine will wear off within a few hours of wear.

Overall:
I'm quite impressed with both of these summer releases from Clarins. The Instant Light Boosting Radiance Complexion Base works just like a BB cream, providing both light medium coverage and brightening effects. The Lip Balm Crayon is super moisturizing and the color "Creamy Pink" is definitely a fun summer shade.
