Marc Jacobs Twinkle Pop Eye Stick in "Frannie" & "Volver": Review and Swatches
New from Marc Jacobs, the Twinkle Pop Eye Sticks ($35 CAD) are a range of fun and easy to use eyeshadow pencils with a festive and shimmery formulation. Infused with alpine snow water from the Swiss Alps (pretty darn cool, eh?), these pencils glides effortlessly on the lids and leave behind a soothing feeling. Packaging:
The Twinkle Pop Eye Sticks come in an ultra-shiny silver casing. The twist-up lead is retractable and comes with an adorable cap with a tip shaped liked a traditional lead pencil. I don't really know how Marc Jacobs does it, but all his makeup products manages to be incredibly luxurious yet unbearably adorable at the same time.

Formulation:
The Twinkle Pop Eye Sticks have a very shimmery and creamy formulation. The two shades I have are fairly light so they aren't particularly pigmented. However, the colors are still buildable, especially "Frannie", which is described as a "snow iridescent shimmer". "Volver", on the other hand, is a "peach champagne shimmer" that's quite close to my skin tone so I get mostly shimmer.
Both these shadow pencils have a soft and melty formulation, they actually feel very cooling on the lids during application. The products are smudge-proof and crease-proof, the shimmer/color fades a tiny bit after several hours but I definitely don't mind reapplying because they feel so nice on the skin.

Overall:
If you are a fan of a simple, shimmery, all over the lid look, these are great additions to your makeup bag. The formulation glides on almost like a gel and feels very cooling on the skin and the packaging is just too cute.
