Mary Kay At Play Hail to the Nails Mini Nail Lacquer Trio: Review and Swatches

Disclaimer: Product featured was provided for review.
For Holiday 2014, Mary Kay At Play released an adorable and festive mini polish trio. Each polish is 4ml and last week I had a chance to play around with them so to see some swatches of the Hail to the Nails Mini Nail Lacquer Trio ($18 CAD), click......
Inky Blue: This is a classic dark navy creme. The formulation is good, two coats for opacity and the drying time is decent.

Two coats with no top coat.
Pink Hottie: This is a rich bright purple creme. The formulation is decent but it could be slightly more pigmented. However, a careful two coat application should provide good opacity. Apologies for the bad air brush around the cuticles, they were pretty beat up that day.

Two coats with no top coat.
Silver Sparkle: A gorgeous silver/blue iridescent micro-flakie, Silver Sparkle adds so much depth to Inky Blue, in fact, the Inky Blue and Silver Sparkle combo looks a lot like Mary Kay's Night Diamond (swatched here), but a blue version. The formulation is also packed with flakies so one coat gives enough coverage.

One coat over two coats of Inky Blue, no top coat.
Overall:
Formulation-wise, all three are great but the only color that really stood out to me is "Silver Sparkler", which I cannot wait to wear over all my dark polishes! All in all though, I think this is an adorable set perfect as a stocking stuffer!

Availability:
This set is available through your local Mary Kay Consultant until February 15th or until supplies last.
