Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse & Huile Prodigieuse Or Multi-Purpose Dry Oil for Face, Body & Hair: Review
With Summer fast approaching, I am slowly starting to give my body some more TLC. During the colder month I usually forgo body moisturization, mainly due to the fact that I am lazy, but also because I feel like nobody really sees my legs or arms, so slathering on body oils and lotions just seems pointless. But alas, flaky lifeless skin never looks good with shorts or tees so keeping the skin nourished is vital in the summer months. Therefore, today I want to share with you two awesome products from Nuxe that will get your skin summer-ready. Formulated with six different botanical oils (macadamia, hazelnut, borage, almond, camellia, St. John's wort), the Huile Prodigieuse ($45 CAD for 100ml) and Huile Prodigieuse Or ($35 CAD for 50ml) are multi-purpose beauty oils that can be used on the body, face, and hair. Packaging:
Both Nuxe Huile Prodigieuses come in clear rectangular glass bottle. The original Huile Prodigieuse is capped with a spray dispenser while the Or version has a small spout for directly pouring out the oil. I like the spray nozzle on the original but the 100ml bottle is not at all ergonomic to hold in the hand, especially when things get oily. I wish the bottle was rounder for a better grip.
The spout opening on the Or is quite good; it allows controlled drops to come out of the bottle.

Formulation:
The Huile Prodigieuse is a dry oil and it absorbs very quickly, providing long lasting nourishment. I like how much easier it is to use compared to standard lotions and oils, which tend to get everywhere, leaving my fingers sticky and greasy. In addition to the different oils in the ingredients, Huile Prodigieuse is also scented with a full fragrance profile. However, the scent feels natural and subtle, only detectable within close proximity.

Top Notes: Orange blossom, bergamot, mandarin.
Middle Notes: Rose, gardenia, magnolia.
Base Notes: Vanilla, coconut milk.

The Huile Prodigieuse Or (Gold) on the other hand is filled with golden shimmers that add a glow to the skin, perfect for the legs and arms. I've so far been using both oils on the body and that's kind of how I prefer them. I believe these will work wonderfully for both the face and hair but because I have very oily skin and a lackluster hair care routine, I just don't see myself using the oils on those two areas. Overall though, these are amazing! I absolutely love using them on my body and they work great as massage oils as well!
