Urban Decay Afterglow 8-Hour Powder Blush in "Fetish", "Bang" & "Obsessed": Review and Swatches
Urban Decay is well known for its fabulously-formulated shadows but for Summer 2015, the brand is upping its blush game with a new line called the Afterglow 8-Hour Powder Blush ($26 CAD). Smooth and finely-milled, the Afterglow blushes promise an effortless application with no powdery buildup. Today I have some swatches for a few shades (including a crazy bright orange-red) to share with you, to read more, click.......

Packaging:
The Afterglow blushes come in shiny, gunmetal gray square compacts. The lids have a cool UD logo cut-out that overlays a three-dimensional crosshatch design. The packaging has a magnetic closure, but I wish there was a little notch near the front that makes it easier to open the blush without having to grip and lift from the sides. Also, since the lid is partly see-through, there is no mirror inside the compact.

Shades & Formulation:
I love powder blushes for their long wear and these blushes from Urban Decay do a good job at staying put all day. Below are some swatches, be warned, we have some cheeky shade names up ahead!

Fetish: A soft mauve-nude pink, Fetish has a matte finish. The shade is fairly light and sheer so it's going to require a couple of layers to build up unless you have a porcelain complexion. The formulation is very finely-milled and smooth.

Bang: A bright, retina-burning matte orange-red, this one is the kind of blushes that makes you say "there's no way that's going to work". Thankfully, the color is fairly sheer (although a little still goes a long way), so this is surprisingly wearable. Like Fetish, the formulation is very finely-milled and smooth.

Obsessed: This is a light baby pink that's sheer and soft. It swatches a little cooler than it looks in the pan, at least on my skin tone. The pigmentation and formulation of this one is slightly weaker compared to the other shades, but it's hard to say whether that's because it's actually really sheer or it's just too light to show up nicely on me.

Overall:
All three blushes are finely-milled and perfectly smooth to the touch. In terms of pigmentation, I think these Afterglow blushes are all fairly sheer compared to how they appear in the pan. But because the formulation is nice and buildable, you can easily vary the color intensity without things getting cakey and patchy. Also, that packaging is just stunning!
