Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Oil: Review and Swatches
New for 2017, the Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Oil ($11.99 CAD) is a line of sheer lip oils with a melty and nourishing formulation. With six natural colors, the line is rich in fatty acids and antioxidants that promise to hydrate and condition the lips. Packaging:
The Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Oil comes in a click-pen with a synthetic brush applicator. To dispense the oil, simply twist the base a few times and the lip oil will ooze right out of the brush. Before first use, you will have to twist the base quite a good number of times so don't worry if the product takes a while to come out.

Formulation:
Often times, "lip oil" is just a term companies use to rebrand their lip gloss formulation so I was very glad to see that Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Oil is not just an ordinary lip gloss. With a very lightweight creamy texture and formulated with coconut oil, meadowfoam seed oil, and community-sourced beeswax, these guys are super slick and non-sticky on the lips. All six shades are very sheer so you will only get a light wash of color. However, the product is hydrating and it works well to protect the lips while providing a healthy, natural shine.

Overall, the Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Oils are sheer, lightweight, and very moisturizing. If you are looking for a liquid alternative to stick balms, these will do a great job. I also think these are perfect for younger girls who are just getting into makeup as the oils provide just the tiniest wash of color that's fun and non-intimidating.
