Packaging:
The Clé de Peau Concealer Stick comes in a shimmery dark blue twist-up and retractable case. I'm not a huge fan of stick foundations and concealers as they tend to finish quite quickly but the format is definitely convenient for traveling and touch-ups on the go.
Formulation:
With a very lightweight yet high-coverage formulation that contains SPF 25 (titanium dioxide physical sunscreen), the Clé de Peau Concealer Stick is only available in six shades, all of which are on the light to medium spectrum. The formulation is fairly "dry" so it doesn't glide very well. Once it's dabbed onto the skin directly from the stick, it does not move around very much. However, the edges are easily blendable so the finish will still be seamless.
Despite the drier formulation, the concealer is very breathable and non-drying. The coverage is buildable to full so it's appropriate for camouflaging discolorations and breakouts. In terms of wear, the concealer fares just okay. There's noticeable fading by the end of the day, in addition to some minor creasing in the undereye area. I have here the shade "
Beige", a light ivory with neutral undertones. It's actually a perfect match for my skin tone. See below for a before and after comparison. Overall, this is a very good stick concealer. I like the lightweight yet pigmented formulation but the application is not as smooth and creamy as I am used to (with liquid concealers). This is definitely a concealer that I would recommend, but only if you are comfortable with the almost $100 price tag.
