Marc Jacobs Beauty | Holiday 2019 Lust & Stardust Collection: Review and Swatches
As we head towards the end of the year, beauty brands are slowly rolling out their holiday collections. For this year, Marc Jacobs Beauty is bringing the glitz and glamor with its Lust & Stardust Collection. Offering a dazzling array of colors for the eyes and lips, the collection does not hold back on glitter. I have a few pieces from the lineup to share with you today. Marc Jacobs Beauty | Lust & Stardust Collection See-Quins Glam Glitter Eyeshadow ($37 CAD for 3.5 g):
Housed in a festive, sparkly special edition packaging, the See-Quins Glam Glitter Eyeshadow is a super pigmented demi-pressed loose eyeshadow that really packs a punch. Four limited-edition shades are part of this collection and I have here two of them. "96 Glitter Rock" is a striking metallic silver with a shiny, foil-like finish. The formulation is also scattered with some holographic glitters but because the silver shimmers are already so intense, the glitters are barely noticeable. The powder is so rich and smooth to the point that it feels almost creamy and the pigmentation is so intense that it's opaque in one swipe. However, depending on how you choose to apply it (packed on, blended out, or dabbed on top of a base shadow), you can easily adjust the intensity of the finish.

"98 Pop Rox" is a metallic plummy burgundy scattered with iridescent gold, pink, and lavender glitter. Because the shadow also has a dark base pigment, the application is super intense and opaque.

Marc Jacobs Beauty | Lust & Stardust Collection Enamored Dazzling Gloss Lip Lacquer ($37 CAD for 5 ml):
Also available in four limited-edition shades, the Enamored Dazzling Gloss Lip Lacquer is a high-shine, sparkly lip gloss with a lightweight and non-tacky finish. "388 Pick Up!" is a peachy champagne shimmer with soft gold glitters suspended in a clear base. The formulation contains quite a bit of shimmer particles so it's too opaque to use as a glitter topper but I personally find the shade too frosty and pale for my skin tone. However, I do think that the color could work for those with a darker complexion, especially as a fun party lip color.
